Services

What the terminal does

KTC moves cargo between ship, yard, and truck at Km 20 Tibungco, Davao City: containers, bulk, and break-bulk, with storage on site, road links out, and services for every calling vessel.

Cargo handling

The core work of the terminal: loading and unloading cargo between ship and yard, and between yard and truck. That covers containers, bulk goods such as grain or coal, and break-bulk general merchandise. Trucks are weighed entering and leaving the port so charges are accurate.

Storage

Temporary storage for cargo awaiting onward transport or customs clearance: warehouses, container yards, and open storage areas inside the terminal.

Transportation

The terminal sits on the Davao–Agusan National Road, with road and rail connections that move cargo to and from the port.

Vessel services

Essential services for calling ships: stevedoring, bunkering, crew changes, waste disposal, and repairs.

Equipment

The fleet

Ship-to-shore gantry cranes on the berth, rubber-tired gantries in the yard, mobile harbor cranes for bulk and break-bulk, and reachstackers, empty handlers, and forklifts to move everything in between.
